I’ve seen lots carpets, mats, and flooring that looks like pebbles. But when I saw Neora Zigler’s Pebble Carpet, I was shocked by knowing that how it was different from others. Well, Zigler’s indoor carpet is actually made out of pebbles, each individually sewn inside of the fabric to form the carpet. Now, that’s something I hadn’t seen before. Really heads off to the designer and the workers who have made this carpet.

Compact, Cosy And Eco Friendly Micro House By Derek Diedricksen (11 Photos)

Written by Deval. Posted in Architecture, Design, Funny, Furnitures, Interesting, WOW

33-year old father of two Derek Diedricksen is a carpenter by profession who has become something of a YouTube sensation. Thanks to his video series called Tiny Yellow Home. What makes this series and his work so remarkable is the fact that Derek’s creations are micro homes built from household junk that range from 24 square feet to just 4 square feet in size. Moveable by a single person like a wheelbarrow, each of these homes are made from scavenged materials like sheet metal, empty glass jars, parts of washing machines, discarded kitchen cabinets, old storm windows, shipping pallets and a lot of other junked items from everyday life. The cosy eco friendly micro house made from household junk is small yet snug. This house has proved that the homes are not only big, they are also super eco friendly and cost less than $200 to make.

An excellent architecture which makes the house actually wider from inside and it looks compact from outside. The Complex House is a single-family residence located in Nagoya, Japan that was designed by Tomohiro Hata Architects. The home features a series of five alternating pitched roofs that allow for many small rooms as per the homeowner’s wishes. The angular house and its sloping rooflines give it such unique character that it really stands out. The exterior is covered in the same metal siding as the roof giving a more toned down, uniform look.
