The name Rolls-Royce may well serve as a synonym for “tradition”. So this year, following the traditions and principles of its founding father, the company has put Rolls-Royce Phantom at the Geneva Motor Show, Series II .
The first series of this model was released on January 1, 2003, five years after the beginning of its development, under the leadership of BMW Group. The company not only revived the flagship brand, but also built a modern headquarters and production base in the historic Goodwood estate in the heart of rural southern England. In 2005, Rolls-Royce has released a modification of the Phantom Extended Wheelbase, in addition to the Phantom Saloon. Then came the release of unforgettably elegant convertible Phantom Drophead Coupé in 2007, and in 2008 – Phantom Coupé, a car unrivaled class GT.

Today, the family includes models Phantom Phantom Saloon, Phantom Drophead Coupé and Phantom Coupé. Presented in Geneva, combines a classic design updated with the latest generation technology, improved chassis and advanced communication capabilities.

Director of Rolls-Royce design Ian Cameron argues that the evolution of Phantom Series II – is a “familiar design in a new light.” It is best to embody the essence of radical changes, hidden inside, striking the front of the updated Phantom – bumper modified rectangular shape and is fully LED headlamps. They not only give the characteristic white light, increase safety and prevent fatigue of the driver, but also allow to introduce new technologies that improve the lighting.

Lighting function electronically controlled rotation uses reflectors focusing the rays of lights in the direction of motion, providing the best coverage of the road in front of the car during cornering, and adaptive headlights change shape and direction of the light cone, depending on the speed of movement. As stated in Rolls-Royce, and the drivers and passengers will notice improvements in the chassis, which engineers have previously considered almost perfect.

The new automatic eight-speed transmission and rear differential improves the already excellent dynamics, perfectly complementing V12 engine with direct fuel injection. Reduce fuel consumption up to 10% in the combined cycle.
